Amy Leona Havin is a director. choreographer, performance artist, and filmmaker from Rehovot, Israel. She began her dance training in Tel Aviv through Ohad Naharin's Gaga Movement Language and continued in California at the Royal Dance Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington.

 

Havin's choreographic works, dance films, and installations have been presented both on the west coast and internationally, receiving awards and residencies from Disjecta Contemporary Art Center, Portland Dance Film Fest, Thessaloniki Cinedance International, CineDance Austria, Mexico City Videodance Festival, and more.

 

She is currently based in Portland, Oregon, and San Diego, California, where continues to serve on grant and festival panels, lead movement research workshops, and create new work.
