Amy Leona Havin is a director. choreographer, performance artist, and filmmaker from Rehovot, Israel. She began her dance training with Ohad Naharin's Gaga Movement Language and the Royal Academy of Dance and Vaganova classical ballet techniques, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. She has been granted acceptance to train under choreographers such as Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company's Rami Be'er, L-E-V's Sharon Eyal, Ate9's Danielle Agami, Sidra Bell Dance New York, Yasmeen Godder, Shahar Binyamini, Wade Madsen, Tori Wranes, and others.


Havin began her choreographic career at the age of 18 and has created 5 full length premieres, upwards of 8 dance films, and various other projects since then. Her choreographic works, dance films, and installations have been presented both on the west coast and internationally.

Havin has been the recipient of the Portland Dance Film Fest's 2018 Audience Award, a 2018 and 2019 Portland Dance Film Fest Official Selection recipient, Thessaloniki Cinedance International's 2019 semi-finalist, a commissioned choreographer for Union PDX:19, and an artist in residence with Disjecta Contemporary Art Center in 2016.


She is currently based in Portland, Oregon where continues to serve on grant and festival panels, lead movement research workshops, and create new work.
