whitney wilhardt

Amy Leona Havin is the Artistic Director of The Holding Project. Originally from Rehovot, Israel, she began her dance training with Ohad Naharin's Gaga Movement Language and studied under various Israeli artists. She holds a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington, with artistic works spanning across mediums of choreography, film, literature, and visual arts. Havin is currently based in Portland, Oregon where continues to lead movement research workshops and create work with The Holding Project.

Whitney Wilhardt began her dance training with Arizona Ballet Theater and City Ballet of San Diego. She holds a minor in Dance from San Diego State University and has danced professionally with award-winning choreographers in Southern California. Wilhardt relocated to Portland in 2015 and joined The Holding Project in 2018 where she acts as both company dancer and creative assistant.


carly nicole ostergaard

Carly Nicole Ostergaard is originally from Northern California. She began dancing at a young age and was a company member with FLEX Dance Company of Santa Cruz, California before relocating to Portland, Oregon in 2014 where she has danced for Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre Northwest. Ostergaard joined The Holding Project in 2015 and is one of the founding company members.


elle crowley sevi

Elle Crowley Sevi was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii. She attended Mid-Pacific Institute School of the Arts and holds a BFA in Dance from The Boston Conservatory, graduating in 2013. Sevi has previously studied in Israel with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and now resides in Portland, Oregon where she instructs dance and fitness classes, dances professionally, and is a company member with The Holding Project.


anna olmstead

Anna Olmstead was born and raised in Portland, Oregon where she danced with Jefferson Dancers before studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. She attended Dominican University of California with the Alonzo King LINES Ballet BFA Program, graduating with a BFA in Dance and Arts Management. Anna is a GYROKINESIS® trainer, ballet instructor and dancer with Tongue Dance Company. She is the newest company member of The Holding Project.

Jennifer Seung Hancock was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Eagan, Minnesota. She received her BA in Dance and Arts Management from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and relocated to Portland, Oregon where she acts as a member of Portland based Asian-American theatre company Theatre Diaspora and is on the development team for Camp Ukandu. Hancock has been a company member with The Holding Project since 2018.

Heather Hindes is from Saint Louis, Missouri, where she graduated with a BA in Dance from Lindenwood University. She spent several years with Saint Louis based company Leverage Dance Theater before relocating to Portland, Oregon where she currently teaches with The Aspire Project. Hindes has attended numerous Gaga Movement Language workshops and has studied the works of various Israeli choreographers. She has been a company dancer with The Holding Project since 2016.


lena traenkenschuh

Lena Traenkenschuh is originally from Washington state. She is a dancer and Licensed Massage Therapist, having performed professionally in the Pacific Northwest for over a decade as well as abroad in Berlin. She is one of the founding members of Portland based Subrosa Dance Collective and has been with The Holding Project since 2015 as both a dancer and creative assistant. She will act as support during The Holding Project's current season.
