From the mind of Artistic Director Amy Leona Havin
comes precious cargo (days of old), a 70-minute in-the-
round performance danced by Portland artists
Heather Hindes, Carly Nicole Ostergaard, Elle Sevi,
and Whitney Wilhardt; with lighting design by Spencer
Fork.

precious cargo (days of old) serves as a release in
relation to the ancient Hebrew concept of land rest
sabbatical, Shmita; a year of honoring the land and
releasing it of emotional debts. Discussing connection
to agricultural systems, natural landscapes, and the tether
to birthplace and familial roots, precious cargo (days of old)
draws on non-fiction literature of the 1960s-1990s and
nuanced pop references to examine the pathos of the
iconic Pacific coast.
